At Marichi Residence, we offer more than just a place to stay – we invite you to experience Istria through its spaces, its silence, and its flavours. The olive oil you will taste with breakfast, a bite of cheese, or during dinner comes from a small family-owned olive grove belonging to our Daniela, just a short distance from the house. The olives are hand-picked in late autumn and cold-pressed the very same day at a local mill, preserving their freshness, rich aroma, and natural antioxidants. But what truly makes this oil unique are the rows of lavender planted between the trees – a fragrant landscape that shapes the grove’s microclimate and infuses the oil with a subtle floral note. The result is a golden-green liquid with aromas of grass, almond, green apple – and a whisper of lavender. An oil that doesn’t just enhance food, but tells a story of land, love, and coming home.
